Thursday's Treasures

a wooden circle frame!? how AWESOME is that!? i *think* this entire purchase was under $15! =)
I bought all this stuff back in May, and I'm ashamed to admit that until today I haven't done anything but take the photos out of the frames!
Well, that ends today, as I begin my new venture into spray-painting! (Not the t-shirt of course! I have plans to repurpose those into leggings for Miss Chloe!)

I can't WAIT to share the finished projects with you!

summer treats..and a super cheap and easy craft!

It has been abnormally HOT and HUMID in my neck of the woods! Yesterday was ridiculous at a whooping 115F with the humidex! Today, we're at 105F. It is TOO hot for this mama! Poor baby girl's skin has been totally out of control and itchy.

As a way to escape the heat, we enjoy frozen treats! Freezies, being our favourite!

But, both the lil boogers have trouble holding onto the freezie between it being too cold, and slipping out of their hands!

As a solution, I crafted up some super easy freezie holders out of felt and embroidery thread!

Freezie Cozy Tutorial

What you need:

Felt approx 5.5" long and 2.5" wide
Thread/Embroidery thread
Make it:

Really, it's so simple! All I did was fold the piece of felt in half lengthwise, then hand-stitched up one long-side, across one short side and back down the opposite long-side!

Slide freeze pop in (preferably your favourite flavour!), snip off the end and enjoy!

Tasty Tuesday ~ Man Muffins

Cruising my mommy site yesterday, I happened across a recipe from Randomosity
Realizing I had a stick of pepperoni & dough in my freezer from our last family pizza day, I set out to make the scrumptious looking Pizza Cupcakes!

Since the Mister has started working longer hours at work (his job offered some pretty freaking sweet incentives to those who work over 40hrs a week), I have to step it up in the meal cooking department, and yesterday's Pizza Cupcakes were a great success! He dubbed them "Man Muffins" as it sounds more 'manly' than "Pizza Cupcakes."

ohm nom nom nommy goodness!

Man Muffins

Make Dough (Recipe)
Roll out dough 1/8" thin and cut in 3" diameter circles.
Place circles in greased muffin pan.
Cut pepperoni slices in 1/4s. Place 4 pieces of pepperoni in dough.
Drop 1 Tbsp of pasta sauce over the pepperoni.
Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
Bake according to dough directions. Mine took about 20mins at 350F

Super full, still..

Happy May!

"The girl married her Prince. The bad guy is dead. It's a real Disney weekend here on Earth!" =)

What a night! Never have I been so glued to a TV!
Did you catch the President's address last night?
What are your thoughts on Osama Bin Laden's death?

As you can see, I've been MIA for a while! Life's been busy with Spring and a new bonus child! =) Hoping to get back in the groove and hoping for a much better (read: less stress!) month!
I have been completed addicted to free printables (artwork, seasonal). I actually ran out of printer paper today! eek! I need to go stock up on frames, and get these exciting prints hanging on my walls! I will [of course!] share each freebie with you as I get them framed and hung! =)

Tastebud Tuesday ~ Pizza-Makin' Family Day

For the record, >this mama< cannot cook. The rollup pizza thingy on top? It burned, bad. And, the dough was raw in the middle! LOL *sigh* I'm lucky I found me a man that loooves to cook, and kicks somes serious ass at it too! =)

The dough recipe we use is actually from the Bullet Express cookbook. We no longer have the machine (it's a POS, people - be warned) as it broke and pretty well was useless after the first few times we used it. Now, I'm holding out for a nice KitchenAid. Ahhh, dreams.

ohhhhh pretty! *swoon*

Anyways, the recipe is quite simple:

Dough Recipe

1 Envelope of yeast (1 package of yeast is equal to 2 1/4 tsp of yeast
1/4 tsp of sugar
3/4 cup of lukewarm water
2 cups of flour
1/2 tsp of salt

Mix ingredients together. Sprinkle flour on work surface and knead dough for a few minutes, then cover with a towel and let rise for 1 hour.

Here are some photos of past pizzas, but I unfortunately can't take any credit! These were all the Mister's handiwork!

Not sure what you'd call this? Calzone? Giant Pizza Pop?
Pepperoni Bacon, our favourite!
Cheesy Stuffed Crust Pep/Bacon! mm mm good!
