Sharing Circle Sunday ~ Mommy n Me & a Ruffle Bracelet Tutorial!

So over the past few weeks I've been doing a bunch of crafting!
Chloe and I made matching headbands.

Then I was inspired by this blog post, and followed her tutorial to make a few of my own. We couldn't have matching headbands and not have matching bracelets too! So, she got her very own bracelet! Mavrick wouldn't take mine off, ("ohhh la la", he says ♥) So, I made him some "bracelets" too!

Ruffle Bracelet Tutorial

You need: elastic (measured to fit your wrist)
fabric (2" wide, and about double the length of your elastic)
                time (about 1 hour)

Fold sides down 1/4" and sew. Use zig-zag stitching for a different look. I used both zig-zag stitching and straight stitching!
Sew down each side about a 1/4" in
Then, lay elastic in the middle of your fabric, and sew straight down the middle. As you sew, stretch out the elastic - this creates the ruffle. The more you stretch, the more ruffle you get. As you can see with the green one in the first picture, it's not quite as ruffled as the other two!
Then cut off the excess fabric on either side of the elastic, turn right sides together, and sew end pieces together.

And, you're finished!
